Get To Know Our Manager

  • Becky Kuester, LVT
    Manager/Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Becky helped Dr. Anderman open CAH and is proud of how much Creekside has grown! She has been in the field since 2002 starting out as a kennel attendant/veterinary assistant. She graduated from Macomb Community College receiving her Associate Degree of Applied Science, Veterinary Technician in 2005. In 2013, she officially became the practice manager. At home, she has a wonderful husband and two fun, loving little boys. Her furry family includes 2 dogs, Chihuahua Mix Winnie and newest fluffball, a Pomeranian named Lincoln; 3 cats, some fish and  chickens! In her free time, she enjoys fashion, being outdoors and camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

  • Andrea Babecki, CVA
    Certified Veterinary Assistant- Veterinary Technician Student

    Andrea started working with Creekside Animal Hospital in 2013 She attended Ross MedicalEducation Program and became a Certified Veterinary Assistant.  Andrea is excited to be working on her next adventure and is attending Baker College Veterinary Technician program!  At home she has two beautiful cats, Pandora and Willow, a rescue Greyhound, Teddy, and African Grey and a rabbit.

  • Laura Shagena, CVA
    Certified Veterinary Assistant
    Laura started at CAH during an internship for her Certified Veterinary Assistant program through Ross Medical Education Program in 2016. She is very happy to be pursuing her passion for animals in this field. At home she has a wonderful husband and two young boys that she enjoys spending time with. She has 2 dogs, 2 cats and a rat as well. In her free time she loves missionary work.

  • Jessie Gallagher, CVA
    Certified Veterinary Assistant
    Jessie join Creekside in 2017 after attending Ross Medical Education Center and becoming a Certified Veterinary Assistant. At home, her and her husband David, have 3 dogs named Tiny, Raggs and Lucy, and 1 cat named Anna. In her spare time she enjoys crafting such as needlework and painting, being outdoors biking, gardening and golfing. In her quiet time, Anna may be curled up in her lap while she enjoys her next good book.

  • Jean Senior, CVA
    Certified Veterinary Assistant
    Jean joined Creekside Animal Hospital in May 2017 while doing an internship for her Veterinary Assistant Certification. After completing her schooling, she came on full time with us! At home she has 4 dogs, Carley, Cash, Zelda and Lily, 2 bearded dragons, Mushu and Pheonix, and a cute little bunny named Dante. In her free time, Jean enjoys sports, music and traveling. She has hopes to reach her goal of becoming a veterinarian, specializing in exotic animals.

  • Canyon Borza
    Veterinary Assistant

    Canyon joined the Creekside team as a veterinary assistant  in March 2018.   Canyon has had several years experience in dog boarding and training.  In their spare time they enjoy gardening, spending time with pets, Tink and 3 hermit crabs, and learning new things.  Canyon would like to continue schooling to become a veterinarian.  

  • Jacinda Shirk
    Veterinary Assistant

    Jacinda started with Creekside Animal Hospital after she completed her externship at CAH in November 2018.  She graduated from Ross Medical Education in October 2018 and received her certification to be a Veterinary Assistant in November 2018. At home she has a cat named Hellcat. She enjoys the warm weather, volleyball, fishing, and drawing.

  • Jessica Gehrke, LVT
    Licensed Veterinary Technician
    Jessica started at CAH in June of 2015 as a veterinary assistant. She loves working with our patients and staff. In the future she hopes to learn more about K9 rehabilitation and large animals. She graduated from Macomb Community College’s Veterinary Technician program in May 2017. At home, she and her husband have two of the best Bulldog mixes, Bubba and Boomer. In her free time, Jessica enjoys playing soccer, running, baking and gardening. They would also love to own a farm someday.

  • Nichole Schales, LVT
    Licensed Veterinary Technician
    Nichole is a Licensed Veterinary Technician here at Creekside Animal Hospital since 2011. She graduated from Macomb Community College in 2005, with an Associate of Applied Science, Veterinary Technician. She started in the field as a receptionist in 2002. After all these years, she still absolutely loves working with and helping animals. She has two cats and 1 dog of her own. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, doing art projects, outdoor activities, traveling and playing guitar.

  • Natalie Clem, LVT
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Natalie joined Creekside Animal Hospital in September 2018.  She is a 2012 graduate of Macomb Community College with a degree is Applied Science for Veterinary Technicians.  She is a self -acclaimed 'crazy cat lady' and loves to work with any and all pets, especially cats.  At home, she has a chunky, marbled tabby named Charlie, a beautiful tortoise shell named Molly, and feisty young, white and black kitty named Fiona.  In her free time, Natalie enjoys music, playing Pokémon Go, making crafts and spending time at home with family and pets. 

  • Sarah Widzinski, LVT
    Licensed Veterinary Technician
    Sarah has been a member of the Creekside family since 2009. She graduated from Macomb Community College with an Associate of Applied Science, Veterinary Medicine in 2005.

    At home she has two fuzzy hamsters, Bear and Cubby; a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix named Shorty and a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix named Jack. She enjoys spending time outdoors in the sun, going on vacations, jogging and reading.

  • Jenna Raymond
    Veterinary Technician
    Jenna joined Creekside in September 2017. At home she has a variety of rescued pets! She has 4 Pitbulls named Gunner, Brodie, Dexter and Dinah and a feral Doberman/Shepherd mix named Nora, Midas her cat and 3 birds, Hector, Skippy and Yetta. Jenna takes special interest in wildlife rehabilitation, neonatal care and behavior/aggression cases. She also has been involved in Pitbull advocacy and rescue as well as feral dog rehabilitation for about 10 years. In her free time, she enjoys motorsports and off road vehicles, spending time with her husband and two stepsons, camping, exploring outdoors and crafting.

  • Jessica Sargent, LVT
    Licensed Veterinary Technician
    Jess has been a licensed veterinary technician since 2004. Animals have always been a big part of her life and she currently has 4 cats and 1 dog at home. Jess has affectionately gotten the reputation of being the cat whisperer throughout her career. At home she also has 3 human cubs that she cares for. In her free time, Jess enjoys excising and being active, but makes sure to find time for relaxing by the fire with a good book.

  • Michelle Westrick, LVT
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Michelle has worked at Creekside Animal Hospital since September of 2017. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Macomb Community College, in May of 2018 with an Associates Degree of Applied Science; Veterinary Technician.  

    At home, Michelle is accompanied by her two black labs, Garth and Bear. In her free time she enjoys country concerts, being with family, watching football, and spending time outdoors.

  • Lauren Lauver

    Lauren joined Creekside Animal Hospital is August 2018.  She has been excited to extend her customer service experience and learn about the veterinary field. 

  • Gail Opalewski
    Gail joined CAH in 2013 as a receptionist and has been in the field since 2002. At home she has two beautiful Border Collie rescue dogs, Tess and Ruger and a little blue Budgie named Bueller.

  • Mandy Havrilla

    Mandy has been with Creekside since 2012.  She loves to be part of the 'front line' and share with you her friendly sense of humor.  She has two adorable Boston Terriers, Tucker and Tootsie, and 3 wonderful children.  In her free time she enjoys shopping and going to her kids sporting events. 

  • Karin Laforest

    Karin joined Creekside In July 2018.  She has been excited to start a new venture in the veterinary field.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children.  She rescued Lily, a Cattle dog mix, who completes their family!  Karin she enjoys laughing with her friends, shopping and getting her nails done. 

  • Shannon Galloway

    Shannon joined Creekside in July 2017.  She is one of the friendly faces you will see when coming into Creekside.  Shannon is also a Licensed Veterinary Technician.  At home she has a wonderful husband and two children, who she loves to spend her time with.
