Doctors

Dr. Katherine Venet

Doctor

Dr. Venet attend Michigan Sate University, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and then Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association and Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Venet's special areas of interest include internal medicine, cardiology and emergency medicine.

At home, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her furry family members: 3 dogs, Olive, Ava and Popeye and her horse, Bud.

Dr. Andrea Milam

Doctor

Dr. Milam received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Virginia Tech and then went on to Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has worked in Chicago, Virginia and Michigan, joining Creekside Animal Hospital in January 2013. Her professional interests include soft- tissue/orthopedic surgery, dermatology and preventative medicine. Dr. Milam is married, has one human daughter, Adalynn, two fur children, Bassett/Boxer mixes named Olive and Amos. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring new places. Baking, reading and running are her favorite past times.

Dr. Michele Anderman

Doctor

Dr. Anderman founded Creekside Animal Hospital in 2006. She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree then graduated from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.

She is a member of the Macomb Veterinary Medical Association, South East Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, and American Veterinary Medical Association.

At home, she has a Bull Mastiff/Mix named Beau, a Maltese/Yorkie mix named Annie, and an awesome dilute orange tabby cat named Oliver. All have been rescued animals. Dr. Anderman enjoys raising egg laying hens, 8 to be exact, hiking, gardening, skiing, traveling and spending time with her family.

Becky Kuester, LVT

Manager/Licensed Veterinary Technician

Becky helped Dr. Anderman open CAH and is proud of how much Creekside has grown! She has been in the field since 2002 starting out as a kennel attendant/veterinary assistant. She graduated from Macomb Community College receiving her Associate Degree of Applied Science, Veterinary Technician in 2005. In 2013, she officially became the practice manager. At home, she has a wonderful husband and two fun, loving little boys. Her furry family includes 3 dogs, a Chihuahua Tulee, Chihuahua Mix Winnie and newest fluffball, a Pomeranian named Lincoln; 3 cats, a turtle, some fish and soon to be chickens! In her free time, she enjoys fashion, being outdoors and camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Licensed Veterinary Technicians

Margaret Anson, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Margaret started with Creekside in 2015. She attended Macomb Community College for her Associate Degree of Applied Science and became licensed in 2002. Margaret enjoys all the areas and variety of general medicine, but attends continuing education classes as often as possible to keep up on new and upcoming medicine. At home she has two dogs, Gunnar and Ammo, a cat named Sadie and a bird named Bozo. Margaret enjoys boating with her husband, playing with and training her dogs and line dancing.

Nichole Schales, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Nichole is a Licensed Veterinary Technician here at Creekside Animal Hospital since 2011. She graduated from Macomb Community College in 2005, with an Associate of Applied Science, Veterinary Technician. She started in the field as a receptionist in 2002. After all these years, she still absolutely loves working with and helping animals. She has two cats and 1 dog of her own. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, doing art projects, outdoor activities, traveling and playing guitar.

Samantha Soule, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Samantha started at Creekside in 2008 as veterinary assistant while attending Baker College for her Veterinary Technician degree. After graduating, she spent some time working in emergency medicine before returning to Creekside in 2016. She enjoys caring for animals, especially cats and looking out for their nutritional needs. Outside of work, you can find Samantha working on various types of crafting projects or with her three cats and three dogs.

Brandy Hlas, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Brandy started at Creekside in 2012 as a veterinary assistant. She attended Macomb Community College where she received her Associate Degree of Applied Science, Veterinary Technician in 2014. Her special areas of interest in the field are: general practice/medicine and emergency medicine.

At home, Brandy has a dog named Zeus and a rat name Newton Scamander. In her spare time, she enjoys crafts, music and relief work in emergency medicine.

Sarah Widzinski, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Sarah has been a member of the Creekside family since 2009. She graduated from Macomb Community College with an Associate of Applied Science, Veterinary Medicine in 2005.

At home she has two fuzzy hamsters, Bear and Cubby; a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix named Shorty and a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix named Jack. She enjoys spending time outdoors in the sun, going on vacations, jogging and reading.

Receptionist

Gail joined CAH in 2013 as a receptionist and has been in the field since 2002. At home she has two beautiful Border Collie rescue dogs, Tess and Ruger and a little blue Budgie named Bueller.

Receptionist

Jessica started at CAH in June of 2015 as a veterinary assistant. She loves working with our patients and staff. In the future she hopes to learn more about K9 rehabilitation and large animals. She is currently attending Macomb Community College's Veterinary Technician program and will be graduating in May 2017. At home, her husband and her have two of the best Bulldog mixes, Bubba and Boomer. In her free time, Jessica enjoys playing soccer, running, baking and gardening. They would also love to own a farm someday.

Andrea started working with Creekside Animal Hospital in 2013 She attended Ross MedicalEducation Program and became a Certified Veterinary Assistant.

Laura Shagena, CVA

Certified Veterinary Assistant

Laura started at CAH during an internship for her Certified Veterinary Assistant program through Ross Medical Education Program in 2016. She is very happy to be pursuing her passion for animals in this field. At home she has a wonderful husband and two young boys that she enjoys spending time with. She has 2 dogs, 2 cats and a rat as well. In her free time she loves missionary work.
